change can't wait

The state shouldn't make it harder for us to provide for ourselves and our families, but after a decade with the Iowa GOP in control, sadly that's often exactly the case.

Our housing costs are rising, our public schools are under attack, our hospitals are closing, affordable childcare can be nearly impossible to find, Iowans are leaving the state in droves to seek opportunity elsewhere, and everyday bills just keep climbing.

I’m running for the Iowa House because enough is enough. Government should work for Iowans, not the other way around.

We should treat our housing, healthcare and education as essential infrastructure that keep our communities stable and safe, invest in our neighborhoods to help struggling people fill the gap, fight to make sure public money supports the public good, and make sure policy reflects the challenges we're actually facing in this district.

Change can't wait. The bills sure aren't. I'm ready to be your voice in the Iowa House and fight for real results for our communities.

Issues

Housing

Safe and Affordable Housing is Foundational

Rising housing costs and poor housing quality are destabilizing our communities. I support policies that expand access to affordable housing, ease the property tax burden of homeowners, protect tenants from predatory landlords, and keep people safely housed so families can stay rooted in the communities they love.

Education

Public Schools Strengthen Communities

Public schools serve the majority of families in this district and deserve stable funding and real accountability. Public dollars should be invested where they deliver real results for students, teachers, and neighborhoods, not siphoned to unaccountable private schools.

Cost of Living

Rising Prices are Hurting Iowans

From rent to transportation to childcare, families are paying more and getting less. State policy should give people breathing room by supporting infrastructure, job creation and innovation instead of shifting costs for broken systems onto households that are already stretched thin.

Accountability

Public Money Should Serve the Public Good

If taxpayer dollars are used, there should be transparency, oversight, and clear outcomes. Accountability isn’t partisan, it’s responsible stewardship of the resources Iowans work hard to provide. I'll work tirelessly to shine on a light on exactly how our tax dollars are being spent.

Healthcare

Healthcare Decisions Belong to People, Not Politicians

Healthcare in Iowa has steadily become more expensive and harder to access. I support protecting reproductive healthcare, strengthening local hospitals, community health centers, and insisting healthcare decisions be guided by medical expertise and patient needs, not extreme partisanship.

Jobs & Wages

Working Hard Should be Enough to Get Ahead

The GOP's policies have failed Iowa's economy. Wages haven’t kept up with rising costs and too many jobs lack stability, forcing many Iowans to leave the state for opportunities. I support overhauling our burdensome and regressive tax system and making sure economic development actually delivers real wage growth for Iowa workers and not just a tax cut for big companies that working people never see.

I’ve spent my career in nonprofits working with immigrants, families and communities, and I’ve seen firsthand how policy decisions can either ease pressure or make life harder. I’m running for the Iowa House because I believe representation should be rooted in showing up, listening, and a real understanding of the struggles people are facing. I want to be a representative who keeps District 33 at the center of every vote I make in the Iowa House.
