Healthcare Decisions Belong to People, Not Politicians

Access to affordable, timely healthcare is essential to a strong and stable community. When people can see a doctor, afford prescriptions, and get care when they need it, families are healthier, workers are more productive, and neighborhoods are stronger as a whole.

But in our community, healthcare has become more expensive, harder to access, and increasingly politicized. Hospital and clinic closures, staffing shortages, attacks on abortion and rising costs are leaving too many of us without the care we need.

I believe healthcare policy should be guided by medical expertise and patient needs, not partisan ideology.

What I'll Fight For

In the Iowa House, I will work to:

  • Expand access to primary, mental health and preventive care by strengthening investment in community health centers

  • Re-establish the right to a safe and legal abortion

  • Support healthcare workers by addressing workforce shortages, shortening wait times for our communities

  • Improve transparency and accountability in Medicaid administration so public dollars deliver real results

  • Invest in preventive care and mental health services, recognizing that early care saves lives and lowers long-term costs

Healthcare should work for the people it serves. I’ll focus on patient-centered solutions that reduce wait times, control costs, and strengthen care across our communities.
