Democratic Primary Election 

The Democratic primary election determines who will appear on the ballot in November.

If you live in Iowa House District 33 and want a say in who represents our community, this election matters!

Election Day

Tuesday, June 2, 2026
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Ways to Vote

Vote in Person on Election Day
Vote at your assigned polling place between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

 

Early Voting (In Person)
Early voting is available at the Polk County Auditor’s office beginning May 13 through June 1.

 

Vote by Mail (Absentee Voting)
Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot beginning March 24 through May 18.

Ballots must be received by the County Auditor by the time polls close on Election Day.

You can register to vote or update your registration in any of the following ways:

  • Online

  • By mail

  • In person at the county auditor’s office

  • At your polling place on Primary Election Day
